Over the weekend, a deadly fire at a Fayetteville apartment complex killed one woman. Two men inside that apartment unit are in the hospital in critical condition.
Fayetteville Fire Captain Brian Wandstrat told 40/29 news they do not know if the victim’s smoke alarms went off because they were melted from the fire. He said alarms were going off in the surrounding units.
40/29 News spoke with Hannah Shuster’s sisters tonight, both of them say they are thankful for the community support and that many people are asking them what they can do to help.
“The best way to honor her memory is to reach out to a stranger in need, whether it's donating to a charity, a hospital, or donating your time. Give them that kindness because that’s what Hannah would have done,” Jordan Shuster, sister of Hannah Shuster, said.
