Lightning from heavy thunderstorms that moved through Garland County early Wednesday morning was reportedly the cause of a fire that heavily damaged a reportedly unoccupied home at 264 Eagle Rock Circle. Morning Star Fire Chief Nathan Kew said that a lightning strike was suspected to be the cause of the fire in the two-story house. Kew said that the unoccupied home was a total loss and that there were no injuries. Morning Star responded with 13 firefighters, three engines and a service truck, and Lake Hamilton Fire Department responded with an additional three personnel.
