Crews from the Tucson Fire Department were able to extinguish a fire in a storage building before it could spread to nearby apartments.
According to information from TFD, the fire happened shortly before 5 a.m. on Tuesday, April 30, in a storage area of a “motel type complex” in the 200 block of West Flores Street, near West Grant and North Oracle roads.
Fire crews were originally dispatched to an apartment complex on West Rillito Street, but discovered that the fire was actually across the alley behind the apartments.
There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.
The origin and cause of the fire are under investigation.
Damages have not yet been determined.
