PHOTO: One person has died and another is in critical condition after a crash in Oro Valley early Monday, Aug. 5. According to information from the Golder Ranch Fire District, the accident happened at the intersection of Tangerine Road and Innovation Park Drive. The crash involved a garbage truck from Republic Services and a white car. “Republic Services is fully cooperating with local authorities who are investigating the incident this morning in Oro Valley," the company said in an email. “Any further inquiries should be directed to the Oro Valley Police Department.” The injured patient was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
