A crash involving multiple vehicles resulted in a man being taken to the hospital in serious condition Saturday afternoon, according to Phoenix fire officials.
Phoenix Fire Department responded to 59th Avenue and McDowell Road, where crews had to extricate a man from the wreckage, officials said.
A 42-year-old woman also was injured in the collision, according to authorities, and was taken to the hospital in stable condition. There are some traffic restrictions on 59th Avenue and the westbound frontage road, Phoenix police said. No firefighters were injured during the incident.
