Students at Desert View High School had the opportunity to learn how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) with help from a charitable foundation on Friday.
ICSAVE, who also is known as Integrated Community Solutions to Active Violence Events, says they were able to teach this lifesaving technique to almost four hundred students. Students first watched a video, then it was all hands on from there. ICSAVE, who never charges for any program says the students enjoyed this experience.
Back in 2016, Arizona became the 32nd state in the country to require high school students to learn CPR.
That law took effect this year -- it's a requirement for high school seniors, in order to graduate.
