For a fourth consecutive year the Arizona City Fire District delivered meals to seniors on Christmas Day. The fire district delivered 50 meals and gifts to seniors throughout the area. According to Fire Chief Jeff Heaton, the district noticed that there were many efforts for kids during the holiday season but there was no focus on the local seniors. Heaton and the rest of the district staff set out on a mission to change that and started delivering meals. The AZCFD developed partnerships throughout the community to not only prepare the hot meals for delivery on Christmas Day but also ensure that the seniors have a present to open. This year chef Michael Brinkin from Cotton House Cafe donated the meals and prepared them on Christmas Day.
