Searchers on Thursday found the body of a missing woman and her three dogs that hadn't been seen since the woman's house caught on fire Monday near Show Low, the Navajo County Sheriff's Office said.
The Sheriff's Office said Candy Allison, 56, and her dogs were found inside the burnt home in Clay Springs, about 16 miles northwest of Show Low.
Initial reports said the fire started in the fireplace and chimney and that it came just after a possible explosion, officials said.
Deputies located a few of the home's occupants at a nearby residence but sought the public's help in locating Allison, who hadn't been seen since an hour before the fire started.
Numerous personal items were found during the investigation and will be turned over to Allison's family members, the Sheriff's Office said.
