The Surprise Fire-Medical Department will host an open house 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, Feb. 2 at Fire Station 305, 15517 N. Parkview Place. Residents are invited to visit and meet the firefighters, check out their living and eating quarters, walk through the fire house bays and view the fire trucks. Attendees will also get a look at the medical equipment, firefighting gear and tools used by first responders on emergency calls, according to Battalion Chief Julie Moore, a spokeswoman for the department.
