Two women were hospitalized Wednesday morning after fire officials said they were involved in a packing machine accident in an agricultural field at County 20th Street and South Highway 95. Somerton Cocopah Fire Department said firefighters responded to a report of a woman with an injured hip injury in an agricultural field. Upon arriving on the scene at County 20th Street and South Highway 95, firefighters found a woman who fell from a broccoli harvesting and packing machine. She was complaining of hip pain and loss of sensation to her legs. Workers told authorities that a group of them were on the machine as it was moved from one field to another. As it crossed a field berm, the trailer went forward, flipped onto its front, and caused all workers aboard to fall onto the ground.
