A home in Pinon Oaks in northeast Prescott suffered significant damage from fire in the early-morning hours of Thursday, March 14.
Prescott Fire Engineer Conrad Jackson reported that the call came in at 3:30 a.m. Thursday, when the homeowner on the 5000 block of Coriander Court reported fire in the attached garage. By that time, flames had already emerged from the roof of the garage, he said.
The fire ultimately entered the house as well, Jackson said, and the roofs of both the garage and the house collapsed. “All of the occupants were out of home,” Jackson said. A total of 17 fire personnel and four engines responded to the fire. Although the cause of the fire is still under investigation, Jackson said it appears to have started in the garage.
