The Coolidge fire chief has been sentenced for a felony he committed in a previous job. Records obtained from Yavapai County Superior Court show that Mark Dillon, 50, pleaded guilty to a felony count of fraudulent use of a credit card provided to him as chief of the Crown King Fire District. The district accused Dillon of making more than $11,000 in unauthorized charges on a district-issued credit card intended for departmental purchases only between September 2016 and June 2017. Records show Judge Thomas Kelly sentenced Dillon to five days in jail and 18 months of supervised probation. Dillon was credited for time served and will not have to go back to jail, and his probation was transferred to Pinal County. Should he violate the terms of his probation, Dillon would be subject to 120 days in jail.
