At the May governing Board of Directors meeting for Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority (CAFMA), Fire Chief Scott Freitag announced, “I have been informed that I will be officially the President of the Arizona Fire Chief’s Association and will be sworn in at the July Conference.” There was light applause after the announcement. “What’s that pay?” asked Director Dave Dobbs with a grin. “As much as you get,” Freitag retorted lightheartedly.
