PHOTOS: Fire Fighters from Golden Valley Fire District (GVFD) Stations 11, 12 and 13, and Battalion Chief/Fire Marshal David Martin, responded at 8:08 p.m., on Monday, to a structure located at Tapeats Drive and Road Road. When firefighters arrived on scene a few minutes after receiving the call, the single-wide mobile home was already fully engulfed in flames. The firefighters immediately deployed their fire hoses and began “knocking down” the fire. Upon learning that two people resided in the home, the firefighters entered the burning structure in hopes of finding survivors. Once inside, the firefighters determined there were no people in the mobile home when the fire began; however, did find two dogs. One dog was obvisously dead, but they believed the larger dog to be still alive.
