PHOTOS: A Gilbert couple have rebuilt their house after a plane featuring skydivers and “aerial pyrotechnic” display crashed into their home three years ago during a Constitution Week celebration. Peter and Sharon Lebeau now are embroiled in an ongoing lawsuit against the town and others over the harrowing ordeal on Sept. 17, 2016. Town officials have claimed Gilbert is not liable. A National Transportation Safety Board final report approved Nov. 6 puts the blame on pyrotechnics that were activated as the skydivers were about to jump from the plane. The report notes the pyrotechnics were not FAA-approved. The National Transportation Safety Board report faults a pyrotechnic box that was placed on the left landing gear of the Cessna 182 aircraft just before takeoff.
