VIDEO: A Glendale firefighter and police officer were honored with an award Tuesday after their life-saving efforts during an apartment fire. Glendale Police Officer Ty Nowatzki and Glendale Fire Department Firefighter Kyle Knight are credited with saving two men from the second story of the apartment complex after Knight hoisted the ladder and Nowatzki helped them down around 3 a.m. on Sept. 7. As Knight fought the fire, Nowatzki then went on to clear the apartment complex, getting around 30 people out safely. "I mean, those guys in the building were in danger, but we kind of just handled it," Nowatzki said. Body camera footage shows flames shooting out from the side of the building.
