VIDEO: The Woodbury Fire may be out but it keeps causing damage. Without vegetation in the burn scar, the rain has nowhere to go. The flames burned two of Peter Bigfoot's yurts and scorched some of his supplies this summer at Reevis Mountain School. But now the rain is causing more problems. "The forest fire doesn't scare me half as much as the rain coming down. The forest fire, you squirt some water on it and it goes out. But you can't squirt anything on a creek coming down at ya that fast," said Bigfoot. Last week, just a few inches of rain caused the creek that runs along his 13-acres property to swell up, washing away one yurt and flooding out another. The wet weather is a nightmare until the vegetation grows back. As if the rain and lack of vegetation wasn't worrisome enough, Bigfoot said that now the creek bed is changing.
