A man was arrested in Glendale on Monday on suspicion of lighting his car on fire at a Circle K near 59th Avenue and Camelback Road, court documents say. The man, identified as 26-year-old Timothy Bartlett-Youngblo in court records, ran inside the Circle K to grab a fire extinguisher and unsuccessfully tried to put out the fire after starting it by the gas pumps, according to the court documents, which include a probable cause statement from Glendale police. The Glendale Fire Department responded at about 11:30 p.m. and extinguished the fire. The car, a 1998 Ford Mustang worth about $1,500, was not occupied at the time, court records say. The court documents say the store clerk identified Bartlett-Youngblo as the man who started the fire. Two witnesses at separate gas pumps also identified him, and told similar stories of him dousing the car with gasoline then setting it ablaze, before running inside the store to get a fire extinguisher, court records say.
