A fire that broke out in a mobile home just outside Coolidge city limits is considered "suspicious in nature."
Coolidge firefighters were called out to the structure fire in the area of Bartlett Road and Fifth Street just before 11:30 a.m. Monday and reported finding a mobile home completely engulfed in flames. The entire home and all the contents inside were lost.
According to the Coolidge Fire Department, the vacant residence was in the process of being cleaned up before removal. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, but officials stated that the fire was "suspicious in nature" in light of the fact that no utility services, including electricity or gas, were connected to the property.
