VIDEO: An American Airlines flight landed safely at Sky Harbor Airport after it experienced a mechanical issue in the air on Monday afternoon. A spokesperson for American Airlines said there was an issue with one of the hydraulic systems on the plane. There were no reported injuries on the flight from Des Moines to Phoenix. The runway where the plane landed was shut down briefly as Phoenix fire crews responded to the scene. An American Airlines maintenance team will investigate the hydraulics issue. The plane had to be towed to the gate, Sky Harbor officials said.
