Prescott Fire crews responded to a structure fire Monday afternoon. Four Prescott fire engines and one from Central Arizona Fire and Medical responded to the fire at around 3 p.m. on Sonora Drive in Prescott, which is on the northwest corner of Granite Creek Park. When units arrived they found an abandoned multi-story building with heavy smoke and fire. Crews found a live electrical line and had to wait until APS cut power to the line to proceed. After about three hours, crews were able to contain the fire. The owners say the structure was over 100 years old. No firefighters were injured in the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
