A mid-morning single-vehicle rollover on US 60 near milepost 351 sent 3 people to the hospital with unknown injuries. The crash occurred at about 9 a.m. Light snow accumulation on the highway coupled with below freezing temperatures overnight created slick winter driving conditions on US 60 in spite of snowplows that did their best to clear the roadway. Local residents Dan Miller and Gavino Sandoval were among the first people on the scene after the SUV in the photo rolled, sliding off the north side of the highway. Both men stayed with the victims as Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers managed traffic and Timber Mesa Fire and Medical District firefighters extracted the victims from the wrecked SUV and transported them to Summit Healthcare.
