VIDEO: Firefighters and a central Phoenix community showed their support at a lemonade stand over the weekend for a worthy cause. A group of Phoenix kids decided to host their first ever lemonade stand in their neighborhood near 48th Street and Indian School Road to raise money to help the Australian wildlife affected by the wildfires burning around the continent. "These littles [young kids] heard about the fires in Australia and what was happening to the wildlife and decided to try their very first lemonade stand to raise money for wildlife rescue. So, we picked some lemons fresh from our neighbor's tree and made some lemonade,” said Lori Hawthorne, whose daughter helped launch the stand. The dynamic duo was able to raise over $500 to send to WIRES Emergency Wildlife Fund in New South Wales, Australia.
