Adrian Hawkins always knew he wanted to help and save people. It was just who he was.
He had the opportunity to help save lives many times over as a firefighter with the Circle City Morristown Fire Department. Tragically, Hawkins lost his life after a collision in Phoenix while riding his motorcycle Dec. 14. But true to his heart for helping others, Hawkins had chosen to be an organ donor. As a result he continues to give life, even after his death.
“He would give you his last dime and the shirt off of his back,” said his mother, Mendy Hawkins-Pierce. “He wanted other people to be healthy and happy. He always wanted to help his community. It was important to him.”
Turns out, Hawkins was prepared to give his heart, kidneys, liver, and tissues to those in need.
