Flames and thick, black smoke greeted firefighters when they arrived on the scene of a structure fire in the 800 block of Palo Verde Drive in Bullhead City around 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Two structures reportedly were involved. The Fort Mojave Mesa Fire Department assisted multiple units from the Bullhead City Fire Department as personnel worked in 110-degree heat to contain the blaze. No injuries were reported. The American Red Cross was called in to assist occupants of the two homes. No additional information was available Thursday night. The fire remains under investigation.
