Arizona reported 3,257 new COVID-19 cases and 97 additional known deaths on Wednesday as hospitals statewide continue to feel the stress.
Inpatient hospitalizations, ICU beds in use, ventilators in use and emergency department visits by suspected and confirmed COVID-19 patients all hovered near their highest recorded levels, but none hit new records, according to Tuesday's hospital data reported to the state.
Before Tuesday, at least one of those measures had hit a record nearly every day for the past several weeks.
Identified cases rose to 131,354 and known deaths total 2,434, according to the daily report by the Arizona Department of Health Services.
Wednesday's dashboard shows 87% of current inpatient beds and 90% of ICU beds were in use, which includes people being treated for COVID-19 and other patients.
