VIDEO: Phoenix fire crews are on scene of a body recovery at a home construction site in west Phoenix. The incident happened Thursday morning at a new home construction site near 107th Avenue and Camelback Road. "It appears as if, at this home build site, they were tapping into the sewer line to connect it into one of the parcels for one of the homes, and unfortunately, that's when the collapse had happened," said Capt. Rob McDade with the Phoenix Fire Department. Phoenix fire said a trench collapsed at the construction site. Two workers were buried in the trench, which was about 8 feet deep. Their fellow workers tried to rescue the men, but couldn't get to them. "We were receiving reports that the coworkers were attempting to get the workers out of that trench," said McDade. "Unfortunately there was just too much dirt.
