Scottsdale police announced they arrested 22-year-old Robert Gandara on several felony charges after an early Sunday morning crash involving Gandara in a vehicle and a golf cart hospitalized five people. The five people taken to the hospital were all on the golf cart when police say Gandara rear-ended the cart on Miller Road just north of Chaparral Road around 2 a.m. All five people hospitalized have serious but non-life threatening injuries, police said. Police confirmed later on Sunday they arrested Gandara in connection with the crash. On Monday police said he's charged with multiple felonies including aggravated assault and more charges could be coming. Impairment is believed to have played a role in the crash, police said on Sunday.
