VIDEO: Phoenix fire crews rescued a hiker from a 200 foot cliff at Camelback Mountain Sunday afternoon. Capt. Rob McDade said the 20-year-old hiker and his friends managed to make their way across the north side of Camelback Mountain to an off-trail area. The hiker's friends were able to make it back to the main trail but he was stuck about 200 feet up off the ground on a sheer cliff. McDade said the man told rescue crews that his leg was cramping and that he was not an experienced hiker. The Phoenix Fire Department's helicopter crew were able to maneuver close to where the hiker was stuck. A firefighter then connected himself to the hiker and the helicopter lifted them both off the mountain.
