The members of Scottsdale fire crew and an ambulance crew who were put under isolation protocol after they assisted a man who later tested positive for coronavirus are back to work. Scottsdale spokesman Kelly Corsette said that the the four-person fire crew and two-person ambulance crew were cleared to return to work over the weekend after the Maricopa County Department of Public Health followed the Centers for Disease Control's recommendation to no longer quarantine for healthcare workers if they don't show symptoms after being exposed to coronavirus. "All of our first responders will continue to use the appropriate personal protective equipment when they're on calls to keep themselves safe and also to mitigate spreading any kind of germs to the public," Corsette said. The firefighters and paramedics were initially told to follow the county health department's guidelines for social distancing, which includes avoiding public areas, sharing household items and monitoring symptoms.
