Arizona’s wildfire season shouldn’t kick into high gear for several weeks, but smaller fires have already burned this spring. A wetter winter — along with COVID-19-related complications — will likely lead to greater challenges for firefighters when more damaging and destructive blazes get underway in more fuel-filled areas.
