Firefighters control midtown Tucson apartment fire

PHOTO: On Tuesday, Oct. 13, firefighters from the Tucson Fire Department responded to a midtown apartment complex fire in the 2600 block of North Alvernon Way, north of Flower Street. Once on scene, crews immediately pulled hose lines to initiate attacks against the flames on the second floor of a two-story apartment complex. The fire extended into the attic of the two-story building, but was out under control at about 1:14 p.m.. According to a tweet by TFD, a burn victim was found in the area and transported to a local hospital for treatment. Fire investigators are still on scene searching for information about the cause of the fire. Updates on this story as new information is available.
