Kingman City Council approves contracts, vehicle replacements

Kingman City Council approved multiple job contracts, vehicle replacements and an agreement for engineering services for roadway improvements to Eastern Street at its Tuesday, Feb. 16 meeting. The city accepted a $148,514 FEMA COVID-19 grant for the Kingman Fire Department. The Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program provides money for personal protective equipment and supplies in response to COVID-19. Council approved vehicle replacements for water operations, the Kingman Police and Fire departments and community development. The city, participating in a lease-to-own financing program, will replace about 12 vehicles at a cost over 60 months of $695,774. The city was awarded nearly $3 million from the HURF Exchange program for fiscal year 2023, money to be used for improvements of Eastern Street.
