Two people have died after their vehicle crashed into a tree near 56th Street and Bell Road Friday afternoon. The Phoenix Fire Department said just after 1 p.m., firefighters arrived at the scene and found two people trapped inside the vehicle who needed to be extricated. Phoenix police added that the vehicle involved in the crash was a Tesla sedan and the occupants were identified as 83-year-old Henry Deihl and 81-year-old Diane Deihl. After being extricated, both were pronounced dead, according to fire officials. Officials say, the investigation shows the Tesla sedan was driving at a high rate of speed before the collision occurred.
