VIDEO: The Green Valley Fire District is fighting a two-alarm fire that ignited in an on campus maintenance building in a retirement community in Green Valley Monday evening. According to the district, the fire has completely taken over the maintenance building on the La Posada Retirement Community campus near Whitehouse Canyon Road and Old Nogales Highway. Fire officials reported that there are "active explosions" due to the combustible materials within the building. The district said that five engines are on scene along with two medics and one battalion chief. Officials stated that there have been no exposures to any of the residents, nor have they prompted any evacuations at this time. Green Valley Fire called for support from the Drexel Heights Fire Department to cover their district while they respond to this incident.
