Multiple emergency crews are on the scene of a partial roof collapse at a Bashas supermarket in Peoria.
It happened at the location near 75th Avenue and Thunderbird Road.
Fire crews from Peoria, Glendale, and Phoenix responded to the scene. Peoria Fire officials say no employees or firefighters were hurt.
The store has been evacuated and it will remain closed.
Following the incident Ashley Shick, Bashas' Director of Communications, released the following statement:
We are in the process of fully assessing the damage. We are working with a structural engineer to assess the full damage. There have been no injuries and the store will be closed indefinitely. Glendale Fire officials say crews were initially called to the store Thursday for a gas leak. Gas to the store has been shut off.
