VIDEO: Fire crews responded to a large fire in a commercial building in central Phoenix on Wednesday morning. Firefighters responded to the blaze near 15th Avenue and Roosevelt Street around 8:30 a.m. The fire was upgraded to second alarm due to the building’s size. Smoke could be seen from a wide radius around the area. There were no injuries reported in this incident, and firefighters were able to clear the building. One person who worked at the building was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation. The building had two commercial occupants at the time: one business storing tires and the other housing lithium ion batteries used in golf carts. Fire crews used ladder trucks to apply aerial water streams and large hose lines to extinguish the fire.
