The Insurance Services Organization (ISO) has awarded a Class 2 Rating to the Rincon Fire Department. The ISO is a nationwide rating service used by insurance companies to help establish local business and residential property insurance rates. The Class 2 rating is the second-highest possible rating that can be given to any fire department nationwide.
“With the support of the Tribal Council,” said Fire Chief Ed Hadfield, “our department has steadily increased and enhanced service levels to a point where we’ve now received this prestigious rating.”
Out of 58,000 fire departments in the United States, the Rincon Fire Department is 1 of only 586 departments to receive this rating, plus the department is now in the top 2% nationwide.
Through the Public Protection Classification Program, the Insurance Service Office evaluates municipal fire-protection efforts in communities throughout the country.
