One person suffered burns and smoke inhalation in a fire at an apartment building Tuesday afternoon in Daly City, according to the North County Fire Authority. Firefighters responded at 2:10 p.m. to a building at 88 Crestwood Drive where they found smoke and flames coming from windows on the first and second floors of a two-story apartment building. Fire officials said flames started burning an adjacent apartment building on Belmar Avenue before crews extinguished the fire. The burn victim was taken to a hospital. Fifteen people were displaced and 10 sought help from the American Red Cross. No firefighters were injured. Fire officials said the cause of the fire is under investigation by the North County Fire Prevention Services Bureau.
