The Bakersfield Firefighter Historical Society is looking to open a brand new museum, and now they're getting some help. The historical society and Lengthwise Brewing Company are teaming up to raise money. A building on 20th and G Street has plans to become a museum, it would display BFD artifacts and equipment. "Fire extinguishers, old helmets, old jackets, things that kind of paved the way for what we do now," BFD firefighter Lance Osborne said. The museum will be a walk through time, but for Osborne it goes deeper than just a history lesson. "To be able to present this to the public so they can see what we do and show them how proud we are of it is going to be important for us," Osborne said. But opening this museum to the public requires a lot of money, that's where Lengthwise Brewery steps in.
