Remnants of items stored inside the garage of a south Visalia home spilled into the driveway.
Early Friday morning, the home's garage was boarded up and a tall chainlink fence was erected along the perimeter of the property.
Water flooded the gutters.
A fire ripped through the home just hours before, causing thousands of dollars in damage. Thankfully, Visalia firefighters were able to stop the spread of flames to a nearby home.
Around 7:13 p.m. Thursday, firefighters were called to a structure fire in the 3300 block of South Dollner Street. Callers told 911 dispatchers the fire was threatening a neighboring house.
When crews arrived, they began an "aggressive attack" with large water streams, Battalion Chief Tom Van Grouw said.
