Firefighters from the Central Coast responded to a wildfire in Southern California Tuesday. The Lompoc Fire Department tweeted Tuesday morning that an engine from the city's fire department was assigned to a strike team to respond to the Bautista Fire burning in the San Bernardino National Forest. As of last update, the fire had burned 163 acres. Containment grew to 85 percent as of Tuesday morning, but firefighters were still investigating the cause of the fire. The Lompoc Fire Department said mop-up operations were ongoing due to the hot and windy conditions in the area.
