VIDEO: A house fire in Anderson woke up the neighborhood with a loud boom. A home on Green Acres Drive, about a mile south of the Historic Hawes Farm, caught fire around 3:00 a.m., Thursday. The woman inside the home got out okay and told officials she was the only one inside. The Red Cross assisted her. Neighbors say it all started with a loud boom and small booms followed. They say the large flames miraculously didn't touch nearby houses despite the wind. The cause of the fire is still under investigation by Cal Fire.
