Sabio on Main is closed down due to damage from a fire that broke out in the kitchen area before the restaurant opened for takeout brunch service on Sunday morning.
No one was injured as a result of the fire, and none of the other units were damaged in the multi-tenant Pastime Plaza building on Main Street, according to Greg Kurtz, battalion chief with the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department. The cause of the fire is unknown.
In a message on the restaurant's website, Sabio on Main management indicated they hope to be able to reopen soon after the damage is repaired.
"We had a small fire. To the amazing LPFD Responders, thank you for taking care of it so quickly -- you are simply amazing. Unfortunately, while repairs are being done we will be closed. Please stay tuned -- we hope to have better news soon," the management's message read.
