A firefighting hero in Tehama County has ended his watch. CAL FIRE Captain Jim Allen retired from that job in 2006. But after that, he became the Chief of Tehama County Fire Department Rural Station 12 in Corning. All in all, Chief Allen dedicated 45 years to the people of Tehama County at the Tehama County Fire Department. He was the volunteer fire chief for 15 years. The Tehama County Fire Department announced his passing on social media on Saturday. The cause of death has not been released.
