An argument between roommates led to a fire at an apartment complex in San Diego's Fletcher Hills area that led to two people rescued and one person arrested, officials confirmed. The fire began just after 7:30 a.m. at the Chatham Apartments in El Cajon at 2700 Chatham St. The complex is west of Fletcher Parkway in San Diego’s East County. Shawna Haligowski told NBC 7 she was in her front yard right before 8 a.m. when she noticed smoke coming from the apartment complex. "I called 911 and ran up there to let everybody know there was a fire," she said. Haligowski saw two people were trapped on a balcony as flames were close behind them. "I was like, You need to jump, you need to jump. Please jump,' because the flame was so close to his head. The smoke was so black, and it was very, very close to his head and they both took their shirts off and put it around their hair, but the fire department got there right on time," she said.
