On Tuesday at approximately 11 a.m, Marysville police officers and Marysville fire personnel responded to a fully engulfed structure fire at 1107 Ramirez St. in Marysville, according to the Marysville Police Department.
The police and fire personnel quickly evacuated the inhabited apartment complex.
A few residents were treated for smoke inhalation by Bi-County Ambulance personnel but no one was found to be injured.
Through an investigation into the cause of the fire, Marysville police determined that Dejanae Lemae Morris, 19, had intentionally caused the fire. Morris is a resident at the apartment complex, MPD said.
The fire caused a total loss of one apartment, severe smoke damage to five apartments, and minor smoke damage to the rest of the complex, according to MPD.
