Fire crews in Alameda County were able to contain a two-alarm warehouse fire in San Lorenzo Wednesday afternoon, according to authorities. The fire burning on the 16500 block of Worthley Drive in San Lorenzo was first reported at 12:55 p.m., fire officials said. The Alameda County Fire Twitter account posted about the fire just after 1 p.m. Heavy, black smoke was rising from the fire, authorities said. Residents were asked to avoid the area. The fire was reportedly started on the roof of a warehouse. Fire officials later said crews were able to isolate the fire to the roof of the building and prevent it from spreading to the interior of the warehouse. There were no known injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
