VIDEO: A fire ripped through four businesses in downtown Lindsey and left dozens without power on Friday morning. The fire was reported on Honolulu and Elmwood shortly after 3:00 am. Fire crews arrived to find heavy smoke coming from a building, and flames quickly spread to four businesses. Photos shared by Tulare County Fire showed large flames rising from the buildings. Firefighters from Tulare County Fire, Porterville Fire, Tulare Fire and Visalia Fire worked to douse the flames. The extent of the damage to the buildings wasn't immediately known. An excavator was on scene to knock down a wall and some trees. Fire crews were expected to be out at the scene for several hours. Authorities have the streets blocked off and are warning drivers to avoid the area. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Southern California Edison's website said 219 customers in the area had been impacted by the outage.
