VIDEO/PHOTOS: A massive fire broke out at the Fresno Foreign Wrecking on Thursday afternoon in Fresno.
Cal Fire, Sanger, Selma, and the Fresno Fire Departments helped put out the fire and prevented it from reaching nearby buildings. The black smoke rising into the air from the fire was spotted from miles away.
The yard is located on Golden State Blvd. near Chestnut and North Avenues.
According to Cal Fire, the fire quickly spread to more than 500 vehicles due to the vehicles being parked close together and some even filled with fuel causing a challenge for fire crews to contain.
The strong winds also played a factor.
